Food Attachment

I wrote this to knock on the doors of your conscience. Believe me. So here it goes.

Food, for me, is magical. It transforms a broken soul to a healed one; it cheers up someone who is down. This is very apparent in cases of depression. It has been reported that too much eating doesn’t only connote big appetite, but a sense of depression too.

Food also triggers your senses. Who could resist the smell of pancakes in the morning? Not to mention the sensation it brings to your tongue when you taste it. Whether your choice is strawberry or maple, even with or without toppings, it will always please your palette. And when lunch time comes, how about some steak? Zzzzzz – do you hear the sizzle it makes the moment it touches the hot grill? Oh, music to my ears! Plate it with some veggies once done, and you’d have a very colorful plate. Attractive, isn’t it? At dinner, mom decides to make mushroom soup. Due to excitement, you thought of touching the bowl and… ouch! It’s too hot! Oops, wrong move.

Food appeals to your artistic side. I strongly believe that chefs are also artists. If painters work with brushes, they work with knives. They can also be sculptors, not of wood or stone, but of chocolate! And not only that, they are also architects of humungous structures – such as cakes.

And to finally end my statement- food makes wonders. It bonds a family, unites a couple and strengthens friendship. So make sure you value food, no left overs please.
